thoughts
They say sharing is caring.
Thus, I herewith share with you some of my thoughts,
reflections, experiences and others in this
crazy journey we call life.
It acts partly as a blog for myself and partly as a way to share knowledge with others.
Some of you might relate, and some of you might not.
Either way, it could act as a little dose of inspiration or a source of entertainment only.
2 years of Hotel Nomad
What initiated as a stream of uncertainties and question marks was a pivotal turning point to a life I did not know before even existed - a creative reality where you can choose your steps or simply let it freely flow if you prefer.
in-between seasons
The unusual patchwork beauty of in-between seasons. Itâs the second time I find myself in the mountains in this in-between season. Old snow still resides in a few areas, and the village is empty of visitors.
Developing
Exactly 12 years ago, on February 20th, 2010, I woke up in Switzerland for the first time without knowing when I would leave again. Not knowing that this would be the place I would call home for the following 12 years.
A stranger in your own reality
I'm sure we've all been there in one or another way. That feeling of not belonging. Of being an outsider, feeling out of place, a little fish out of the water.
New beginnings
After two months in my home country, Brazil, spending time with family and friends, recovering the energy and aligning thoughts, it is time to properly kickstart the year.
Creating a Support System
Investors are more prone to put their money in startups with two founders, as predictability of stableness and probability of lasting longerâŠWhat to do though when youâre on a sole proprietorship journey, with no co-founder in sight?

Fulfilling dreams and finally peeing in the wild again (seriously, itâs freeing đ). I canât put in words how thankful I am to Hotel Pollux and Fluhalp for giving me the best gift(s) I could ever wish for. A perfect start in this 31st. Year.
Hotel Nomad
It has been one year now, one year since the Hotel Nomad project started. Little did I know back then everything that was still to come. What started as an experiment became a sole proprietorship. From last summer until today, I've covered and lived in 12 different hotelsâŠ
World Ocean Day
I miss visiting the sea, feeling the sand beneath my feet, the salty water, the smooth flow of the waves, watching the sunrises and sunsets on the horizon with the unique soundtrack that echoes in the air.
Summer is coming
Since I arrived 11 years ago, this past winter was one of the few that I spent entirely in Switzerland (if not the only one đ§), without leaving the country, not even briefly. Previously, wintertime had always felt scary. To avoid the winter blues as much as possible, I always had an escape plan of some kind.
Defining Home
That question that always comes up: where is your home (your "dihei" in Swiss German). I always have to pause to answer. How much information will I be giving to the person asking the question? How much time do we have, and how much will the person comprehend? Should I keep it short and simple and say Zurich, or should I go into the details...
Dinner for one
Eating alone in restaurants has become a regular thing in my lifestyleâbreakfast, lunch, dinner. It is interesting to see the curious looks around. In places where individuals go with their families or loved ones to relax and spend time together, indulging themselves with the local culinary specialities combined with drinks and wine, I am living my day to day.
The beauty of unpredictability
While laying on the floor of a park today, observing the passersby, the lives of others, and simply letting the sun rays warm myself up while admiring birds crossing the blue sky, this one particular feeling sparkled upâthe beauty of not knowing what will happen.
(not) belonging
A few days ago, while talking to a good friend, we came to the topic of (not) belonging (âŠ) The solid base becomes oneself, not a location, not a specific group of people, but a movement, a flow, forever changing, adjusting, recalibrating.
About change
Last week I had an insightful talk with a friend on the topic of change. One of the questions that came to the surface was where even to start when wanting to make a change. It is a process. We touch based on a few of the topics, and my mind filled with further thoughts after our talk. So here comes a more detailed reflection on it.
