The art of cooking

How admirable it is the job of a cook - spending hours in the kitchen, carefully choosing the best ingredients, preparing and creating unique combinations to nourish our bodies with soul food.

This week I had the opportunity to spend nearly a full day in the kitchen @locandabigatt observing (and documenting) the team making the necessary preparations before the first visitors arrive, cooking and preparing the dishes, as well as making the careful finishing with concentration, tenderness and care.

A job that serves the purpose of serving others.

Here at the Restaurant Locanda dal Bigatt, the products are as local as they can be, and the menu is created weekly, based on what is available from the local producers. I always find incredible how food has such a substantial impact on our bodies and minds; it determines our levels of energy and well-being - after all, it is the fuel of our vehicles.
