interventions

"The rocks are the base for the solid mountains englobing the Region. Topped with golden and ruby coloured trees, embraced by the flowing turquoise water of the Toce river.

Everywhere one looks, it is possible to see and feel the different fragments of nature. However, in all corners, there is always a man-made intervention involved in the landscape.

A bridge connecting sides, a train enabling transportation, a house made of stones, trees planted in perfect alignment, scars in the mountains of ongoing mining and fish passage in the river to rebalance the unbalance created by the constructions.

What one sees are fragments of nature with hidden signs of the development of civilisation. Nowadays, it is rare to see landscapes without any intervention, is it not? "
